BANKING, IN FULL SIGHT

Conspectus

The platform through which the bank's dispersed data becomes one coherent truth — and your people become what they were hired to be.

The challenge

"It is not that your people are incompetent. It is that they cannot see."

Fragmented systems

Your lending system holds one version of a customer's truth. Your treasury holds another. Your accounting assembles a third, weeks after the events that generated it.

Knowledge workers buried

Analysts, credit officers, CFOs — spending their capability on data assembly and manual reconciliation rather than the decisions they were hired to make.

AI bolted on, not built in

Point AI solutions advise at the edges, without access to the ledger, the customer record, or the portfolio. The reasoning is invisible. The audit trail is absent.

Group complexity unresolved

Currencies, entities and accounting standards multiply manual reconciliations. The Group CFO reads a consolidated view assembled at month-end, not the institution in real time.

One platform. Every dimension of the institution.

Conspectus encompasses lending, deposits, payments, treasury, accounting, finance and HR/procurement — plus compliance, risk, and internal audit — in a single unified model. One database. One source of truth. Every part of the institution visible from the same place.

"When your board asks how the institution is performing, the answer does not need to be assembled. It exists."

Multi-channel by design

Every channel. One platform.

Conspectus is not a single-channel system with integrations bolted on. Every acquisition path, every way a customer accesses cash, and every way they reach the bank operates natively within the same platform — the same customer record, the same ledger, the same audit trail.

Customer acquisition

How customers enter the institution

Branch / office

Staff-assisted origination at a physical location. Full KYC, document collection, and loan structuring at the counter.

Field officer

Loan officers visit customers on-site. The field review portal handles the complete workflow on a tablet, with offline-capable forms returned to the system on reconnection.

Partner businesses

Registered partners originate applications on behalf of the bank. Commission accrual and settlement are tracked natively within Operations.

Bank's own website

Customers self-apply through the bank's e-banking portal. KYC and face enrollment happen in-browser; the application joins the same origination pipeline as branch applications.

Third-party websites & social media

Acquisition landing pages carry channel parameters, enabling attribution tracking per source and per campaign.

QR code

A scannable QR code routes to the acquisition landing page with channel attribution pre-set. Deployable on physical collateral, signage, or digital placements.

Cash & fund access

How customers and the bank move money

Cash box

Physical cash receipts and payouts at the branch. Cash-in-transit and reconciliation managed within Operations alongside digital flows.

Current & savings accounts

Domestic and SEPA payment rails — AIPS, AECH — with real-time balance updates feeding back to the dashboard and accounting layer simultaneously.

Digital wallet

Stored-value wallet for rapid disbursement and collection. Loan proceeds can be paid to a wallet and spent or transferred without a bank account.

Nostro / correspondent banking

Treasury manages accounts held at other banks. Cross-currency settlements and international transfers route through the nostro layer with full reconciliation.

Partner settlement

Commission payouts and settlement to distribution partners flow through the same payment infrastructure, tracked separately per partner relationship.

Service access

How customers and staff interact with the bank

Branch counter (staff app)

The full staff application handles every customer-facing task — account opening, loan servicing, payment authorisation, KYC updates — from a single browser-based interface.

Remote desktop / web banking

The customer e-banking portal gives retail and business customers self-service access to accounts, payments, loans, and cards from any browser — no installation required.

Mobile app

The React Native mobile application handles KYC enrollment, face authentication, web-session approval, account monitoring, and loan tracking on iOS and Android.

Token portals (one-off tasks)

For specific steps — contract signing, supplemental information, field reviews — customers receive a single-use link. No login required. The task is completed and the application advances automatically.

Functional areas

Every area, in depth

Lending

End-to-end credit management — from first customer contact to final repayment and, where necessary, recovery. Every stage runs within the same system as the customer's deposit accounts, treasury exposures, and IFRS 9 classification.

  • Multi-channel origination: branch, field officer, partner, and self-service e-banking applications join the same pipeline
  • Three-stage workflow: identity & KYC (Stage 1) → underwriting & committee (Stage 2) → contract & disbursement (Stage 3)
  • AI-assisted document review and underwriting narrative at Stage 2, with configurable human approval requirement
  • Risk-based pricing: IFRS 9 ECL computed at origination and surfaced to the relationship manager before the rate is set
  • Active loan servicing with 360° facility view — schedules, balances, events, restructuring hooks
  • Recovery centre with work queues by delinquency stage (early, mid, late, legal) and batch collection processing
  • Portfolio participations: loan sales, investor shares, and derecognition managed within the Finance module
Watch: Lending walkthrough

Treasury

A liquidity management centre built on the same data layer as the loan portfolio and accounting system. Treasury positions are live — not assembled from a separate system or overnight batch. The liquidity dashboard reflects reality as it happens.

  • Nostro and vostro account management with deposits, withdrawals, and inter-account transfers
  • Real-time liquidity dashboard: cash positions, concentration limits, FX exposure by currency
  • Term deposit placements — the bank's own treasury TD portfolio, separate from retail TD products
  • FX limit monitoring with configurable concentration alerts per counterparty and currency pair
  • Liquidity forecasting and stress scenario modelling
  • Settlement reconciliation: import bank statements and match against nostro movements
  • Treasury reports for management and regulatory reporting packages
Watch: Treasury walkthrough

IFRS 9 / ECL

Live credit risk classification and Expected Credit Loss computation — not a quarterly offline calculation, but an active component of every credit decision. The first core banking system to embed IFRS 9 ECL directly into the loan pricing workflow.

  • Live IFRS 9 Stage 1/2/3 classification for every facility, updated continuously as conditions change
  • ECL computation at origination, feeding directly into the risk-based pricing recommendation
  • Portfolio credit risk dashboard with stage migration analysis and NPL monitoring
  • IFRS 9 & ECL explorer: drill down to individual loan level, inspect staging criteria and ECL components
  • Batch ECL refresh for period-end reporting with full audit trail of staging decisions
  • Non-bypassable PD hard limit, DTI cap, and single-facility and concentration exposure ceilings
  • Debt portfolio management: the bank's own borrowings, drawdowns, and covenant monitoring
Watch: IFRS 9 / ECL walkthrough

ECL AT ORIGINATION

1

Borrower profile loaded — Full deposit history, existing facilities, prior staging captured

2

Facility structured — Amount, term, and purpose entered by relationship manager

3

ECL computed live — Probability of default, LGD, and EAD calculated for this specific exposure

4

Pricing recommended — Rate surfaced to reflect actual risk; manager can see the reasoning

5

Stage assigned — Facility enters the portfolio at the correct IFRS 9 stage from day one

Compliance & Risk

Compliance and risk oversight built on the same data as operations — not assembled from exports or reported after the fact. Every control, limit, and segregation-of-duties rule operates on live data, in real time.

  • RBAC with granular permission codes — every sensitive action requires an explicit permission, not just a role
  • Every permission change written to an immutable permission audit log with timestamp and authorising user
  • Non-bypassable risk limits: PD cap, DTI ratio, single-facility ceiling, customer concentration limit
  • Customer SCA step-up for high-value payments — PSD2-style second factor enforced at transaction level
  • KYC gates: disbursement and account-opening blocked until KYC is complete for the customer
  • Digital banking block/unblock: staff can suspend customer access with immediate effect and full audit
  • Regulatory report generation from the same data warehouse used for management reporting
Watch: Compliance & Risk walkthrough

CONTROL LAYERS

1

Identity controls — KYC gates, face biometrics, SCA step-up enforced at transaction

2

Access controls — RBAC permission codes, module guards, super-admin audit

3

Credit controls — Non-bypassable PD, DTI, and exposure limits at origination

4

AI controls — Policy gates on every agent action; confidence scoring and reasoning logged

5

Audit surfaces — Financial events, permissions, AI actions, and customer activity all separately logged

Internal Audit

Internal audit in Conspectus has something that audit functions in most banks do not: direct, real-time access to the same data the business uses, without waiting for extracts, without relying on management summaries, and without the risk that the picture was assembled differently from what it reflects.

  • Full business event log — every financial mutation with timestamp, user, channel, and idempotency key
  • AI action log — every agent decision with confidence score, reasoning chain, and policy version at time of action
  • Permission audit log — every access change, role assignment, and privilege escalation
  • Customer banking audit — login events, SCA outcomes, payment confirmations, block/unblock actions
  • Every request traceable via X-Request-ID across application logs and metrics
  • Corrections are new events — the ledger cannot be silently overwritten; adjustments leave a trail
  • Segregation of duties enforced structurally at the RBAC layer, not by policy document
Watch: Internal Audit walkthrough

AUDIT EVIDENCE SURFACES

1

business_events — Every financial mutation; append-only; idempotency-keyed

2

agent_actions — Every AI decision with full reasoning and confidence score

3

permission_audit_log — Every access grant, revocation, and role change

4

customer_banking_audit — Login, SCA, payment, and session events

5

X-Request-ID — End-to-end trace across logs and metrics for any single transaction

HR & Procurement

Administrative and cost management integrated with the same accounting and budget layer as the rest of the institution. Procurement spend, vendor payments, payroll runs, and fixed asset management are not separate systems — they are modules within the same platform, posting to the same general ledger.

  • HR and payroll operations: employee records, payroll runs feeding directly into accounting controls
  • Procurement workflow: purchase requests, POs, budget checks before commitment
  • Vendor master with 360° view: contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment history per vendor
  • Invoice acceptance: AP workflow with match-to-PO and advance clearing
  • Vendor payment execution via the same payment infrastructure used for customer disbursements
  • Fixed assets register: capitalisation, depreciation schedules, and disposal — linked to accounting close
  • Budget vs actual vs committed variance tracking in real time
Watch: HR & Procurement walkthrough

PROCUREMENT TO PAYMENT

1

Purchase request — Staff raises PR against a budget line; system checks available budget

2

PO issued — Purchase order sent to vendor; commitment recorded against budget

3

Invoice received — Invoice matched to PO; discrepancies flagged for review

4

Payment executed — Vendor payment routed through the standard payment infrastructure

5

GL posted — Accounting entries generated automatically; budget variance updated

For banking groups

The conspectus of an entire group

Every subsidiary runs its own fully operational instance. The Group Head Office sees all of them as one — consolidated, real-time, without assembly. Group directives flow down the moment they are issued. Subsidiary results flow up automatically.

Group-level visibility

Every entity, every market, every currency position — in one real-time view. For the first time, the Group CEO reads the whole field at once.

Multi-language

Every subsidiary operates in its own language. Every workflow, document, and regulatory output is localised natively — no translation layer, no separate system per market.

Multi-currency

Accounts, treasury, nostro/vostro and term deposits operate natively across currencies. FX exposure and concentration limits monitored centrally, in real time.

Dual accounting standards

The same transaction is recognised under every applicable standard simultaneously. Your CFO receives IFRS financials. The regulator receives local GAAP returns. Same source, same moment, no reconciliation.

A first for core banking

Risk-based pricing, live

The only core banking system that incorporates risk-based pricing into the mainstream flow of credit origination — not as an offline calculation, not as a quarterly rate table, but live and integrated into the act of structuring a loan.

The moment a facility is being built, Conspectus generates its IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss estimate for that specific borrower, at that specific point in time, incorporating their profile, the facility's terms, and the existing portfolio composition. That ECL feeds directly into the pricing recommendation.

Your relationship manager sees not what a static table suggests the rate should be — but what the actual risk requires it to be. One mechanism. One logic. Every exposure, every time.

AI governance

Governed precisely as you determine

The AI in Conspectus is the platform's nervous system — built in from the beginning, present at every process, every workflow, every decision point. Every agent operates under a mandate you define.

01

Human-only

Agents observe, surface information, draft analysis — and wait. Staff perform every step unaided.

02

AI-assisted

Agent drafts a recommendation. A human reviews, approves or overrides before any action is taken.

03

Criteria-based

Agents handle defined cases autonomously. Edge cases and exceptions route automatically to staff.

04

AI-full

Agent acts within policy limits, logs its reasoning, and notifies. Full escalation triggers built in.

Built for your architects

Solid ground beneath every decision

Conspectus is designed for production banking environments. Every request passes through multiple independent checkpoints before any balance changes. Every deployment option preserves data residency, regulatory compliance, and operational control.

SECURITY

Defence in depth

Twelve independent security layers — from network encryption to AI policy gates — protect every transaction. No single point of failure. No bypassing controls by role or confidence score.

INTEGRITY

Immutable event pipeline

Every money movement is written as an immutable business event before any balance updates. Staff cannot edit a balance directly. Corrections are new events. The ledger is the record.

ISOLATION

Staff and customer channels

Staff and customer-facing banking run as completely separate authenticated channels — distinct tokens, distinct origins, distinct rate limits. A problem in one channel cannot propagate to the other.

AI CONTROLS

Agents cannot override risk limits

AI agents pass through the same policy gates as human operators. Non-bypassable credit and exposure limits apply regardless of agent confidence. Every agent action is logged with its full reasoning.

OBSERVABILITY

Full audit at every layer

Business events, staff permissions, AI actions, and customer channel activity each maintain separate, timestamped audit surfaces. Every request carries a traceable ID across logs and metrics.

RELIABILITY

Safe under load

Stateless API tier scales horizontally. Idempotency keys prevent double-processing on retry. Connection pooling and health endpoints are built-in. The platform is designed to survive normal operational bumps.

Deployment

Your infrastructure. Your choice.

Conspectus is cloud-neutral and runs as standard containers. You choose where it lives based on your data residency requirements, regulatory obligations, and IT environment.

Technical FAQ

What your CIO will want to know

The questions technology leaders ask before committing to a core banking replacement — answered directly.

Every record in the database carries a tenant_id. Every authenticated session carries the same identifier in its token — so queries are always scoped to a single institution. Multi-tenant deployments share infrastructure but never share data. Group entities each run their own instance; the Group Head Office view is assembled from those instances in real time, not by mixing data in a shared table.
No. AI agents are subject to the same policy gate as any human operator — policy_gate_assert_allowed must clear before any financial side effect can occur. Separately, hard risk limits (maximum PD, DTI ratio, single-facility exposure) are non-bypassable settings in the system configuration: they apply regardless of who or what initiates the transaction, regardless of agent confidence score. Analytical agents read from a separate read-only data warehouse — they have no write path to the live ledger.
Staff authenticate via username and password (bcrypt-hashed, 12 rounds), receiving a short-lived JWT. Customer mobile users enroll with KYC and face authentication; web customers approve sessions via QR code from their mobile app — no password on the web channel. High-value payments trigger PSD2-style strong customer authentication (SCA) as a second factor. Staff and customer tokens are entirely separate claim sets with distinct validation paths and CORS origins. Session refresh tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes — the raw token is only transmitted once.
RBAC is enforced at the API route level via require_permission() checks — not as a UI-layer filter, but as a hard server-side gate. Permission codes map to specific operations (e.g. LOAN_BOOK, JOURNAL_POST). Every permission change is written to a permission_audit_log. Module-level toggles (e.g. enabling the customer e-banking or lending modules per tenant) layer on top of role permissions. Staff HR termination automatically deactivates linked user roles and sessions.
All financial POST/PUT operations require an Idempotency-Key header (a client-generated UUID). The system stores this key against the business event. If the same key is submitted again — whether by a retry or a duplicate request — the original result is returned with no additional effect. Submitting the same key with a different event type returns a 409 IDEMPOTENCY_KEY_REUSE error. This is enforced in middleware and is not optional.
Four independent audit surfaces: business_events (every financial mutation, append-only); permission_audit_log (every staff permission change); agent_actions (every AI action with confidence score and full reasoning); customer_banking_audit (login, SCA events, payments, session events). Every request carries an X-Request-ID header that appears across structured logs and metrics, enabling end-to-end trace reconstruction. There is no mechanism to silently overwrite a past event — corrections are new events.
The API tier is stateless and horizontally scalable behind any standard load balancer. PostgreSQL scales vertically first; read replicas can offload reporting and analytics. The analytical data warehouse (DuckDB/Parquet) is separated from the OLTP ledger — heavy reporting queries do not contend with live transactions. Current known limitation: rate limiting uses per-instance in-memory buckets; for multi-replica deployments a Redis-backed shared limiter is the recommended next step. Prometheus metrics and /health endpoints are built in for SLO monitoring.
In transit: TLS 1.2+ terminated at the load balancer or reverse proxy. API-to-database connections use TLS on managed cloud databases or encrypted VLANs on-premises. At rest: staff passwords are bcrypt-hashed (12 rounds); customer refresh tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes; access tokens are short-lived JWTs signed with HS256. Database-level encryption-at-rest is a platform/infrastructure responsibility — PostgreSQL TDE or volume encryption (LUKS or cloud-provider native) is the recommended configuration. Key rotation is supported via JWT_PREVIOUS_SECRET_KEYS for zero-downtime rollover. Production startup refuses to proceed if default secrets or wildcard CORS are detected.
Yes. The platform is cloud-neutral. It runs as standard Linux containers (Docker / Kubernetes) with PostgreSQL on dedicated hardware or virtual machines. The AI layer can be served by a self-hosted Ollama instance with locally-run models — no external LLM API call required. The only outbound dependency in a fully air-gapped deployment is whatever LLM model you choose to run locally. Front-end SPAs are static builds that can be served from any web server or CDN within your perimeter.
